Description: This WPs is aiming as a base case to evaluate the impact that distributed renewable generation has on cascading failure events triggered from contingencies in the transmission grid. This is analysed in terms of voltage and frequency stability based on a short-circuit analysis and a contingency analysis. In this WP mitigation support from active distribution grids is not considered.
Description: The objective of this WP is to implement fault-ride-through schemes for distributed generation with IBRs as well as look into flexibility provisions from fast demand response from active loads and evaluate the voltage stability improvement based on steady state and dynamic analysis. The IBR control solutions and active demand response scenarios will be tested via simulation and HIL setups.
Description: The purpose of this WP is to investigate the provision of emergent frequency reserves from electricity-based heating systems and EVs from household consumers. In particular, the use of Termonets will be analysed. Result validation will be based on simulations, a HIL setup and a living lab.
Description: This WP covers the necessary management, dissemination, communication and exploitation actions to develop during the project. Additional impact actions are proposed in relation to the flexibility solutions.
Description: This WP will define the necessary activities to actively participate in the CETPartnership Knowledge Community. The structure and the description of each task are defined as indicated in Annex A of the “CETPartnership Joint Call 2023” document.
